The Power of Christian Coaching

Most Christians and Christian leaders settle for less and don't truly lay hold the life God died for them to have. Do you want more time and space in your life for what’s really important to you? Do you have a dream you are passionate about but can’t seem to ever get to? Or are obstacles blocking you from moving into what God has called you to?

Most of us have a passion deep down inside that can light up our lives—if we only follow it. Are you living that life of passion and purpose today? If not, a Christian Coach can help you start taking steps to turn your dream into a reality.

Coaching vs. Other Disciplines

If you want to understand coaching, take
the mental images you have of mentoring, counseling, or consulting and put them aside! Coaching is completely different.
The extensive training coaches receive in asking questions is key to unlocking what God has placed in your heart. Coaches don't tell you what to do because we respect the stewardship God has given you over your own life. Their role is to let you freely explore your own ideas, to hold up a mirror, and offer you honest feedback.

The difference is Mentors give wise advice based on their own experience, while coaches help you draw out your own insights. You have the answers within and are the best expert on your own life, sometimes they just have to be drawn to the surface. While a counselor’s goal is to move hurting people toward wholeness, coaches help people to understand and discover purpose in who they are, what they are to be, and help them achieve balance in all areas of their life. Counseling focuses on the past, coaching focuses on moving forward. Over and over, people who work with a great coach find they can reach higher and accomplish more than they ever thought they could on their own.

So How Does This Life Coaching Really Work?

Coaching is the art of helping people grow and maximize their potential without telling them what to do. In a coaching relationship, you choose what you want to work on, you develop your own life, set your own goals and actions – in other words, you are always in charge.

What I bring to the table as a coach is a set
of professional skills that help you to identify what you really want in life – what's really important. As a coach, I also provide encouragement, healthy accountability, and support so you can live with more intention and reach the goals you set which results in lasting life change.

For example, say you want to simplify your life and bring balance into the various areas of your life. A coach might start by helping you identify what's most important and help you to decide where you desire to focus your energy to be intentional. And once you're clear abour your areas of importance and passion, your coach will help you develop an action plan, overcome obstacles along the way, and keep you moving forward until you are experiencing what you were after.

What’s Included and What it Costs

A typical coaching relationship consists of a 1-hour session every week or every other week. As a part of the discovery process, you can choose to complete a Client Profile and a DISC Behaviors and Motivators Assessment. During our first initial session to begin your discovery, we'll go over your assessment, get to know each other better and establish our coaching relationship based on your objectives and desired coaching outcomes.

I work on a sliding scale fee which is established based on your situation and needs. I am not setup to accept insurance. I let you determine the relationship, the frequency, the agenda, and the time commitment that best meets your desired needs. Let's get started discovering who you are and what fulfills you, so you can start walking in what you were created to be and do. Contact Wendy at:

"The coaching process
is unique in how it accomplishes leadership development. The coach works not by providing answers per se but by asking questions through which the leader gains new insights and takes new actions."
